Day 1: Agadir – Tata

7 days Erg Chigaga Desert tour from Agadir departure: After breakfast at your hotel, departure towards the region of Tata as a base for off-the-beaten-track excur­sions, such as Akka oasis, desert camping and the rock engravings at Oum el-Alek, Tircht and Ait Herbil, among the finest in Morocco. After hours drive along the beautiful sceneries and mountains, we stop for lunch picnic. Then, we continue via through the beautiful landscape with nice stops. We reach Tata for dinner and night either in a hotel or in a desert camp.

 

Day 2: Tata – Foum Zguid – Erg Chigaga

Morning departure after breakfast to reach the high and immense sand dunes of Erg Chigaga. Nice stops to enjoy the beauty of the southern region before arriving to Foum Zguid for lunch. Then, we take a track via the dry lake of Irqui before arriving at the Erg Chigaga desert with beautiful dunes and unique silence. After enjoying the sunset upon the dunes a tasty dinner is served and the night will be spent in nomad tents or under the starlig.

 

Day 3: Erg chigaga – M’hamid – Tamgeroute – Draa valley – Ouarzazate

Relax and have a shower in a hotel. After lunch on the spot, depart towards the village of Tamegroute to visit the Koran library and the old Kasbah. Then we drive to Zagora and through the beautiful Draa Valley to Ouarzazate, where you will have dinner and spend the night in a hotel.

 

Day 4: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhadou – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After breakfast in the hotel departure towards the Kasbah of Ait Benhadou, one of the best preserved and most spectacular kasbaha in Morocco. Also a famous site for Hollywood films. After the visit, we cross the sceneries of the high Atlas Mountains at the pass of 2260m high with a lunch break on the spot. We reach Marrakech around 05 p.m. Night in the hotel.

 

Day 5: Marrakech – Essaouira – Marrakech

After a relaxing night and the morning breakfast, depart towards the coastal beachtown of Essaouira. After a few hours drive, we reach this haven to enjoy the walls of the old medina, the big port as well as to have a walk by the beach. Lunch to be enjoyed in seafood restaurant. Then continue your exploration of the city before driving back to Marrakech. Night in the hotel.

 

Day 6: Marrakech (Visit of the city)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will have a full-day tour with an English-speaking guide to the Medina of Marrakech. The visit will include the beautiful palace of Bahia, the Saadian tombs, the Koutoubia mosque, the big square of Jemaa el-Fna, the breezing gardens of Majorelle as well as the colourful souks, whith the artisans and the handcrafts. Night at the hotel.

 

Day 7: Marrakech – Agadir

The morning is at leisure before departure to the city of Agadir via the highway. Arrival to Agadir at sometime in the afternoon (end of 7 days Erg Chigaga Desert tour from Agadir).
