4 days Marrakech to Merzouga desert tour itinerary:
Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Dades gorges
Departure from Marrakech, Tizi-n-Tichka pass (2.260 mt) and road to Ait Benhaddou; berber villages on the way. Arrival to Ait Benhaddou and visit to the Kasbah. Lunch. Skoura’s palm trees valley via Ouarzazate to follow. Visit to the magnificent kasbah of Amridil. We will then head off towards the Roses’ valley at its many berber villages. Dades gorges through Boumalne. Excursions to the gorges and meeting with local people and their herds. Overnight stay in hotel by the gorges of Dades.
Day 2: Dades gorges- Erfoud – Merzouga
After breakfast we will be departing for Todra’s gorges, one hour away on foot along Tinghir’s valley. We will be heading towards Merzouga through Tinjdad, Erfoud and its famous fossilized marbles. Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet and Merzouga desert. Once we get at the feet of the dunes we will start our dromedary ride to reach the bivouac at the center of Erg Chebbi. We will then enjoy the sunset and mint tea sipping. Dinner and entertainment in the camp or under the starry night.
Day 3: Merzouga – Draa valley- Ouarzazate
Morning departure on 4X4 WD through Rissani (Alaouite dynasty cradle) and the immense Bougafer mountain. Lunch in N’Kob (first village on the way). Afternoon excursion on the one-thousand- kasbahs road (alongside the trail to enjoy the best part of Draa river valley). Arrival in Ouarzazate in the late evening. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
Day 4: Ouarzazate – Taourirt – Marrakech
Breakfast and departure for Ouarzazate: visit to the Kasbah of Taourirt and the cinema studios. Head off to the village of Merzgane and the village of Ighrem. Lunch break. Todarte and way back to Marrakech across Tizi-n-Tichka’s pass. Late evening arrival to Marrakech.

Wonderful desert trip

Very exciting trip
This was my first time travelling to Morocco and the whole trip went very smoothly with the driver. As I was alone in the whole journey the driver helped me to take photos. At the same time, he also introduced me to the local speciality food, I like the local mint tea very much. He also introduced me to many local customs and tourist attractions in English.
Amazing experience
We had such an amazing time in Morroco. They managed everything, from the pick up at the ferry to our flight back. We spent 8 wonderful days, and everything was perfect. Schedule was changed accordingly to our needs and Omar is a great guy, always taken good care. I highly recommend him and this agency when traveling to Morroco.
